I do love your headline for the Brand/Ross/Daily Mail affair Huw.

My parents bought the Daily Mail but Im not sure if they ever actually read it. The only thing we liked about it was the crossword, and that's only because its easy. Even now if I see a Daily Mail on my Dad's table I groan and he yells "Its only for the crossword!!"

I adore the way 'joke' and 'gag' are in inverted commas. Ah, Daily Mail. It could only be better if they called Frankie Boyle a 'funnyman'. I just don't see why this is such a big deal - sure, it's not very clever, but when you consider that a few months ago Russell Brand was making prank calls to the police in the middle of one of his shows and was only mildly rebuked, it's a bit much. All that seems to have changed is that The Mail's decided it's the beginning of the moral degradation they've been waiting for.
